Personal Statement about Magnets:
I was always fascinated with magnets since I was a kid. I grew up down the road from an iron ore mine in the Upper Peninsula and would grab iron ore pellets off the railroad track…some “rocks” stuck to magnets! Others did not. Now my son goes with me when we visit my parents…and I can tell him WHY the pellets stick.

In My Spare Time:
I spend my time being a husband and father to five children…always busy, but life is good!

Fun Fact:
I love to fish but don’t get out as much as I’d like…hoping to change that in the upcoming year. Not sure who my favorite author is, but possibly my favorite quote is “Testament of a Fisherman” from Robert Traver:

“I fish because I love to. Because I love the environs where trout are found, which are invariably beautiful, and hate the environs where crowds of people are found, which are invariably ugly. Because of all the television commercials, cocktail parties, and assorted social posturing I thus escape. Because in a world where most men seem to spend their lives doing what they hate, my fishing is at once an endless source of delight and an act of small rebellion. Because trout do not lie or cheat and cannot be bought or bribed, or impressed by power, but respond only to quietude and humility, and endless patience. Because I suspect that men are going this way for the last time and I for one don’t want to waste the trip. Because mercifully there are no telephones on trout waters. Because in the woods I can find solitude without loneliness; because bourbon out of an old tin cup tastes better out there; because maybe someday I will catch a mermaid; and, finally, not because I regard fishing as being so terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant and not nearly so much fun.”
